You can now link individual PowerPoint slides directly to agenda blocks in your session. This makes it easy to keep your presentation organised alongside your agenda and quickly see which slides belong to each activity.
When it's time to present, you can also export all linked slides into a single PowerPoint while preserving the original slide formatting.
While users on any plan will be able to link slides to blocks, users on the Pro and Business subscriptions will be able to export their content to PowerPoint format.
Link slides to a block
To link slides to agenda blocks, you'll first need to upload a PowerPoint presentation as an attachment to a block in your session.
Once uploaded, you can preview the slides in the presentation by opening the block details, and selecting ‘Add slide’.
On the next screen, you'll see a preview of all the slides in the presentation. You can choose which slides you would like to link to your block, and then press 'Save'.
The slides will then appear under the 'Slides' column in your session. In case the 'Slides' column is hidden, you can adjust the visibility of any column in SessionLab to control which columns are displayed on-screen.
Work with multiple PowerPoint presentations
A single block in your session can contain slides from multiple PowerPoint files.
When adding slides in the above steps, you'll be able to choose from any PowerPoint already attached to the session, or upload a new one.
You can change the order of slides within a block at any time.
Simply drag and drop the slides into the order you'd like. This affects only the order of slides linked to that block - it does not change the original PowerPoint file.
Remove linked slides
Removing a linked slide only removes the link between the slide and the agenda block.
The original slide remains in the PowerPoint attachment and can be linked again later if needed.
Using Library Methods
If a Library Method you’ve created includes linked PowerPoint slides, those slide links are automatically added when you insert the method into a session. This makes it easy to reuse facilitation methods together with their supporting presentation slides.
Export linked slides as a single PowerPoint
When exporting your session as a PowerPoint, you can choose from a few options depending upon how you would like your export to look.
Under the ‘Slides to include’ menu, choose:
All attached PowerPoints - this will export one PowerPoint file, merging any PowerPoint attachments together into one session
Slides linked to blocks - this will export only the slides you've picked in the slides column, and they'll be exported in the chronological order of your agenda, preserving each slide's original formatting
This allows you to create one presentation for delivery without manually copying slides between files.
