Adding bullet points and / or a numbered list to your session plan can help to break up large amounts of content or show a list of instructions.

In the Session Planner, you can add a bulleted list or a numbered list to your session plans. You can also add a mix of both styles.

Adding a bulleted list

Firstly, begin to type some text into a block, and double-click on the text to bring up the formatting toolbar.

Click on the bullet point option to turn your text into a bulleted list.

  • Pressing the enter key after each line will create a new bullet point on the following line

  • Pressing the enter key twice will stop adding bullets to your list and will begin the next line without formatting

  • Pressing the tab key when in a bulleted list will indent the line further. In order to undo this indent, once again select any text in the line where you would like to undo the bulleted formatting, and again select the bulleted / numbered option in the formatting menu to un-apply the formatting.

Adding a numbered list

As with the bulleted list, first begin to type some text into a block, and double click on the text to bring up the formatting toolbar - this time you should select the numbered list option.

  • Pressing the enter key after each line will create a new numbered bullet point on the following line

  • Pressing the enter key twice will stop adding numbered bullets to your list and will begin the next line without formatting

  • Pressing the tab key when in a bulleted list will indent the line further, once again beginning the numbered formatting beginning at number 1. This allows you to create a list within a list. To remove any numbered formatting, select any text in the line where you would like to undo the bulleted formatting, and again select the bulleted / numbered option in the formatting menu to un-apply the formatting.

Should you wish to add a mix of bullet points and numbers, first of all apply an indent to the lines you would like to follow a different formatting style. Then you can simply highlight the text you’d like to change and choose the bullet option which you’d like to use.
