To keep SessionLab running smoothly for everyone, we occasionally remove free accounts that haven't been used for 24+ months. This article outlines how this process works and what you need to know.
How do I keep my account active?
All you need to do is log in to your SessionLab account at least once every 24 months. You don’t need to create or edit anything, simply signing in is enough to keep your account active and your data safe.
Will I be notified before my account is deleted?
Yes, if your free account has been inactive for 24 months or more, we’ll notify you before taking any action. You’ll receive three reminder emails at the email address linked to your account, starting 30 days before deletion.
The reminder schedule works as follows:
First email: 30 days before deletion
Second email: Midway through the notice period
Final email: 1 day before deletion
Which accounts are affected?
This policy only applies to free accounts that have been inactive for at least 24 months, have never had a paid subscription, and haven’t created any public library methods or templates.
What happens to my sessions and data if my account is deleted?
If your account meets the above deletion criteria, all data will be permanently deleted, including:
Your sessions
Projects and templates
Account settings and preferences
This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How do I stop receiving deletion reminder emails?
If you want to keep your account: Simply log in to SessionLab to keep your account active and stop the reminder emails.
If you no longer need the account: The emails will stop automatically once your account is deleted at the end of the 30-day notice period.
How can I delete my account now?
To delete your account, please send a request to account-removal@sessionlab.com, written from the email address associated with the SessionLab account you would like to be deleted. You can learn more about deleting your account here.
If you have questions about your account or think you received a reminder in error, please contact us at support@sessionlab.com and we’ll be happy to help.
