How to Get Your Session Draft from ChatGPT into SessionLab

A step-by-step guide how to move your text or table format agenda into SessionLab.

If you’ve composed an agenda, workshop flow, or any other draft content with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or other AI models outside SessionLab, and want to move that content into SessionLab to turn it into a session plan, here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Generate your draft in ChatGPT (or any other LLM)

  1. Ask ChatGPT (you might event use SessionLab's Facilitation & Meeting Assistant custom GPT) to produce a session draft, workshop outline, or agenda. For example:

    “Create a 90-minute workshop agenda on team collaboration, with warm-up, core activity, debrief, and closing.”

  2. Once the draft is returned, review it. You can iterate, ask for tweaks (timing changes, more icebreakers, etc.), until you're happy with the structure and content.

Step 2: Copy your draft

Simply highlight the output text in ChatGPT and copy it (Ctrl/Cmd + C).

Step 3: Add the content into SessionLab

Now, move into SessionLab and turn your draft into a live session plan.

  1. Create a new session plan or open an existing one that you want to populate.

  2. Paste content into the AI Assistant through Ask AI bar at the top of the page or in the sidebar and let it process. Use a prompt before pasting the agenda, example:

    "Please turn the below pasted structured text into an agenda. Make sure to use all the information from the source"

  3. If needed, refine within SessionLab by adjusting the prompt, making it more specific - e.g you might define a different way of mapping your information into the columns you defined in the SessionLab
