Thanks so much for joining us on our mission to help improve workshop design and help facilitators lead better meetings and workshops!

Below, we’ll give you a rundown of what you need to get started and how you can make the most from promoting SessionLab!

Your dashboard

Once you've applied to become an affiliate at https://www.sessionlab.com/affiliate/, you'll receive some login details for FirstPromoter.

Go to sessionlab.firstpromoter.com/home and log-in to your dashboard. Here, you’ll be able to see how many people have signed up and become customers, share your affiliate link, check your pending payments, find assets you can use to help you promote SessionLab, and view a history of your commissions.

Affiliate dashboard

In order to promote SessionLab and ensure sales are correctly attributed to you, you’ll need to share an affiliate link that is unique to you on your blog, with your clients or on social media.

You can use the links we’ve set-up for you, each of which goes to a different page on our website. Whichever you use, any sign-ups and sales will be attributed to you so long as they upgrade within 60 days of clicking your link.

Simply add the link you find in your dashboard to a social media post, as the call to action on a post or send it to attendees of your workshop or event.

These pre-set links are designed based on the kind of blog you’re writing or where you’re sharing the link. Want to show people our library of methods and get credited with any sales? Use the library link. Want to send people directly to the sign-up page? Use that one!

In our experience, sending your audience to a relevant page helps improve conversion. If you’re writing a blog about remote-friendly tools and want to include an affiliate link, link to our remote facilitation guide. This will be relevant for the audience clicking the link and more likely to result in a sale. If in doubt, use the default link to our home page!

How we can help

We’re here to help you make the most out of promoting SessionLab! We want to help you reach as many people as possible and help them improve their workshop design process – we also want you to receive a great commission while doing so!

Check out the Assets tab on your dashboard for marketing assets including testimonial images, our logo, and more.

We also have some great video resources you can use to promote alongside your affiliate content.

Our getting started playlist on YouTube is a great resource to help answer questions about SessionLab and get people fired up. You can see that playlist here. You can embed those on your blog page or in your social media post alongside your affiliate link to help get sales too!

We’re committed to helping you succeed. If you have any questions, requests, or want to know more, email James at affiliate@sessionlab.com.

Getting paid

You’ll be notified by email whenever someone using your affiliate link becomes a paying customer. These stats will also show on your main dashboard page and within the Rewards section of your dashboard.

You can set-up and change your payout method by clicking on Payouts.

At the end of every quarter, so long as you’ve made $50 or more in commission for the previous quarter.

For example, if you made $100 in commission in January and $50 in February, that amount will be paid out at the end of March. If you make $25 in January and $25 again in April, you’ll be paid at the end of June.

FAQ

What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is where affiliates share and promote a product on behalf of a company. When someone becomes a paying customer as a result of a referral, the affiliate responsible receives a commission.

In our case, you get paid 50% commission when you promote SessionLab using your affiliate link and they become a paying customer. What’s more, you also get a recurring commission during the first year of the customer.

How much can I earn?

You earn 50% recurring commission on every customer account during the customer's first year of staying with us. For example, if you refer a single five-seat team on a monthly plan, you’ll earn $57.5 every month they renew in the first 12 months.

Refer a customer to an annual plan and earn 50% of that annual fee instantly – that’s $90 on every seat on an annual subscription e.g $450 for a five-seat team choosing an annual plan!

Cookie life is how long an affiliate link click will be attributed to a paying customer. For example, our cookie life duration is for 60 days. This means if someone clicks on a SessionLab affiliate link hosted on your blog and they become a paying customer within 60 days, you’ll receive a commission for that sale.

Some affiliate programs have cookie lives that last just a few days or weeks. We think 60 days is a fair way to ensure you get the commission for the accounts you helped bring on board.
